    1. A.    Standard Competence :

    Upon the completion, the students will be able to continue the students’ training in the four skills: understanding, speaking, reading and writing. Through this course, Students are able to understand short passages of English  (narrative, expository, recount, and descriptive) spoken at normal speed. To be able to answer questions which requires short or extended answers. comprehend and develop each English text provided by the course. Asking questions to elicit short or extended answers. Using orally a fair number of elementary sentence pattern and to be able to reproduce orally substance of short passage of English after having heard it several times and read it.  Therefore, the students' reading proficiency in English up to pre-intermediate and intermediate level  approximately  reaches 5,000 words.

     

    1. B.     Course Description:

    The course basically provides a comprehensive course for adult or secondary students who have completed a pre-intermediate course. It contains suffient material for one academic year’s work. It can be assumed that the students are able to comprehend and develop each English text provided by the course. Therefore, the students' reading proficiency in English up to pre-intermediate and intermediate level  approximately  reaches 5,000 words.

     

    1. C.    Evaluation :

    This activity is conducted during the learning process by taking account into the students’ affection and attitude towards the course, and it can be categorised to these followings:

     

     

    Students’ attendance              =   10 %

    Students’ quiz                         =    20 %

    Students’ assignment              =    30 %

    Middle test                              =    20%

    Final Test                                =    20 %

    Total score                               =  100%
